The Australian Humanist movement strongly supports marriage equality. All adults should be free to marry the consenting (adult) partner of their choice. Our society should be organized to show equal basic respect for all its members by providing equal access to the institution of marriage. Supporting marriage equality is about respecting the inherent human dignity of all people.
This page provides links to statements and materials developed by CAHS and Australia's humanist societies to promote support for marriage equality in Australia and to show how the values of Humanism lead to support for marriage equality. Please feel free to browse the material linked to here, and, if you think it might be helpful, to link to it, or use it in other ways as a resource to support the campaign for marriage equality.
If you would like to be more directly in our campaign to support marriage equality please feel free to contact your local humanist society.
